Mr Rizwan Hamid MBBS, FRCSEd, FRCS (UROL) is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, University College London Hospitals and Spinal Injuries Unit, Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. Mr Hamid specialises in the treatment of male and female voiding dysfunction especially after neurological diseases, urinary incontinence and overactive bladder syndrome. Mr Hamid's particular interest is in the management of bladder problems after neurological diseases with BOTOX therapy, bladder augmentation, bladder replacement and both continent and incontinent diversions. His practice also includes tertiary referrals for painful bladder syndrome. He performs neuromodulation for this and overactive bladder problems.

Mr Hamid did his fellowship training in neuro-urology and female & reconstructive urology at the Institute of Urology, University College London Hospitals. His research involved analysing sperm quality and fertility issues in patients with spinal cord injury at London Spinal Injuries Unit, Stanmore. He was appointed consultant in 2009.
Mr Hamid is involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students at UCL. He has published more than 30 papers and presented extensively in national and international meetings. He has authored more than 6 book chapters.
