In 1860 the celebrated author Wilkie Collins lived at Number 12 Harley Street – sadly that No. 12 is now demolished but there is a new 12 Harley Street and it is a superb example of Georgian architecture. It is also one of the few buildings in Harley Street NOT owned by the Howard de Walden Estate.
